“There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” – Nelson Mandela
Last year I wrote about how I was excited to launch my blog and podcast. And I got started, and then…life happened. Actually, “life happened” in a very big way, the usual death, illness, bills, depression, grief, you know, the usual. But something kept eating away at me that the life I was living was not my true self. It was not by best. I was allowing the mediocrity of others to get in my way. People were hating on my light and asking me to dampen it down. And that voice inside said, “Nicholas, shine brighter. Pass out sunglasses as you make your way in this world, but shine you must.”
So, here we are at the next phase of me, the next phase of Revolutionary Daydreams. And in this moment I have no better words than Nelson Mandela’s quote, “There is no passion to be found in playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” No interpretation needed. If you are reading this post then you know exactly what it means for you. Never allow anyone else to limit your vision for yourself. Dream big, people. Dream big…and make it happen!
I hope these stories and meditations inspire you. This is just the beginning so subscribe to the email list, facebook page and my YouTube channel to get the latest in our creative journey.
